Mercury retrograde: 12 March to 4 April 2012, 6+° Aries to 23+° Pisces

Oops!

Fortunately, hitchhiker72 writes in his blog that there can be pluses this time:
Mercury retrograde is cycling back through Fire and Water signs this year, creating the potential for … steam! Use it to power engines, but don’t get scalded.
12 March to 4 April 2012, 6+° Aries to 23+° Pisces
14 to 8 August 2012, 12+° to 1+° Leo
6 to 26 November 2012, 4+° Sagittarius to 18+° Scorpio
Uranus, with moon Ariel
Mercury is currently stationing retrograde in Aries, a Fire sign.

It is close enough to Uranus for any volatility to be amplified, but also the potential for ‘out of the box’ thinking and problem-solving.

So there may be the opportunity to revisit old problems and come up with creative new solutions, once you’ve sidestepped all the delays and technical glitches!

One can hope.

The fault, dear Brutus....

When Walhydra is having a bad day, hour, minute, second, and she can't find any way to rationalize or psychoanalyze her way through it, she grasps for some other way to point the finger.
Walhydra's excuses

The first fallback is Moon Phase, the second is Moon Void of Course status, and the third is Mercury Retrograde.

Of course, none of this really changes anything...but it's fun to shift the blame.

Look for these links on the sidebar, about halfway down.

Yes...

...it IS retrograde.

Is Mercury in Retrograde?

Footnote: On Thursday, August 4th, hitchhiker72 published his blog post on Mercury retrograde from 2 to 26 August 2011, from 1+° Virgo to 18+° Leo.

[Note that, in typical Mercury retrograde fashion, his communication about this event was two days late.]

Here's a bit of what he writes:

With all that has been going on in the world in the past weeks (what with the ongoing phone hacking scandal, European economic crises, US political standoff and Middle East unrest among other things), the usual delays experienced during Mercury retrograde can seem pretty inconsequential.

But the slowdown may offer a good opportunity to regroup and catch our breath, and take a second look at the situation instead of reacting.
Yep.

Is Mercury in Retrograde?

Although the worst of that latest terrible retrograde is over now, Walhydra was relieved to discover a website for checking day by day: Is Mercury in Retrograde?

She was even more amused to check out the news for today:

NO.

There must be something else bumming you out ...

Walhydra is revisiting an old exercise about accepting what is...but, just in case, she has added a link to this little item right below the Lunar Phase widget on the sidebar.

BTW, don't forget to check out the Mercury Retrograde blog.

Oog! Maybe that explains it

Walhydra just discovered that Mercury began a retrograde-of-retrogrades period on Labor Day.

Worse, on Mercury Retrograde: The cosmic art of driving in reverse gear while looking through the rear-view mirror, there's more news:
Because the outer planets remain in direct motion or retrograde for such long periods of time, the point where they change directions or change signs or make exact contact with other planets can be momentous.

The current retrograde period will run from 7 to 29 September. During this time, Mercury will be making contact with several outer planets, which are themselves about to shift positions. [emphasis added by the horrified amanuensis]
There follows a short list of other aspects, transits, toe-steppings, burps, blunders, etc., of the stars and planets.

Maybe we should all stay home under the covers until the 30th!

Mercury Retrograde, by Toothpaste for Dinner http://www.toothpastefordinner.com/misc.phpAt least there's this:
Mercury shifts backwards on 18 September from fair-minded Libra into service- and organisation-driven Virgo. If there are any two signs in the zodiac for Mercury to express itself in a way that can help us make sense of the current craziness, it’s probably these two.
Walhydra certainly hopes so...because in addition to all of this, the Moon is in Caca!
