xkcd: The blag of the web comic

Wahoo! Walhydra just discovered that one of her favoritest online comics, xkcd, also as a blog...or blag, as Randall Munroe calls it.

There's one neat blag post from last May in which Randall gives the results of a color survey. It's very funny.

Here's one image from the post, identified by Randall as "some assorted things people came up with while labeling colors":

Nina Paley's "Mimi & Eunice"

Walhydra has stumbled onto another great comic strip, Mimi & Eunice. Here's what artist Nina Paley says about it:

As far as I can tell, Mimi & Eunice are two middle-aged children/baby psychos/heterosexual lesbians. That’s all I can surmise so far.
Um...okay....

But words don't matter. This about sums it up.

"Height: The Sequel" aka "Depth"

Randall Munroe has come through again with a sequel to the xkcd comic Walhydra linked to a few days ago:

DepthNote: Again it's too big for Blogger to digest, so click on the image to see the whole thing.

BTW, here's a neat Wikipedia article about Munroe and xkcd.

"Height"

From Walhydra's favorite bizarro comic strip, xkcd - A Webcomic, by Randall Munroe, here's a marvelous(ly huge) chart of the "Observable Universe," from the top......to the bottom....

Note: the image is waaaay too tall for Blogger to display, so you'll have to see it at the original site here.

Cool!

Note: The disclaimer at the bottom of this web page reads
Warning: this comic occasionally contains strong language (which may be unsuitable for children), unusual humor (which may be unsuitable for adults), and advanced mathematics (which may be unsuitable for liberal-arts majors).
The tiny, tiny print below this reads
We did not invent the algorithm.
The algorithm consistently finds Jesus.
The algorithm killed Jeeves.
The algorithm is banned in China.
The algorithm is from Jersey.
The algorithm constantly finds Jesus.
This is not the algorithm.
This is close.
Walhydra loves this guy!

Counterin-surge-ncy?: In which Walhydra laughs to keep from crying

Walhydra can barely contain her rage and despair that the present Administration intends to send even more Americans to die in a country where we are responsible for tens of thousands of death and the suffering of millions, but...

In an effort to keep her head above the water in the "Big Muddy"—in which we are once again no longer just "knee deep"—she offers, courtesy of
Tom Toles, the ultimate commentary on our dangerously adolescent President:
